The Fort Belvoir Professional Firefighters Local F-273 was established by the International Association of Firefighters on October 18th, 1992. The members of Local F-273 respond to over 2,500 emergency calls annually; protecting approximately 23 square miles and serving more than 22,000 service members, their families, and DOD civilians to the installation. We operate three (3) Engines (Pumpers), an Aerial Ladder (Truck Company), Tower Ladder, ARFF Truck (Foam Unit), a Battalion Chief, Assistant Chief, and several support & utility vehicles out of four fire stations. We provide Fire & Emergency response to the main post of Fort Belvoir, Davison Army Airfield, and Fort Belvoir North, which is home to the National Geospatial Intelligence Agency - one of the largest buildings in the DoD. We also provide Mutual Aid to Fairfax County and other Northern Virginia jurisdictions.
