The Georgetown Voice

The Georgetown Voice is the student-run biweekly campus news magazine at Georgetown University. It has a circulation of approximately 1,000 and prints an edition every other Friday, as well as maintains a daily online presence. The Voice was founded in March 1969 at the height of the Vietnam War, when a group of senior editors at The Hoya, Georgetown University's campus newspaper, left in order to comment on topics off as well as on campus.[3] The debut editorial, published March 4, 1969, explained the organization's goals and purposes:
